Thanksgiving Season in Cape May 2021

Thanksgiving is the last hurrah before all the winter festivities begin. For those who enjoy coming to Cape May during this season, the food choices are a gastronomical delight. If you’re wondering what is open and serving a tasty Thanksgiving dinner, here is who already has Thanksgiving options available.

Cape May

Leave the cooking to Congress Hall and enjoy a family-style meal in the Grand Ballroom. The menu features heritage turkey, buttery mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and more, using ingredients sourced from Beach Plum Farm. Available November 25, 2021, for more information visit here.

The Blue Pig Tavern is also offering delicious Thanksgiving specials in addition to their reguar menu.  The Ebbit Room is hosting an intimate Thanksgiving dinners this year with a prix fixe menu by their executive chef Jason Hanin. Beach Plum Farm is hosting a multi-course, family-style meal will feature all Thanksgiving favorites including their farm-grown heritage turkeys and rich autumn harvest.

Union Park in the Macomber Hotel has a $75 per person, three course prix fixe menu for this year’s Thanksgiving meal. It is available from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 25. Book a table reservation on their website and view the menu here.

The Washington Inn (just a few steps down the street from Antoinette’s) offers a Thanksgiving “Feast To Go” which is plenty for 12 people. Orders need to be placed by Monday November 22 by calling the Washington Inn at 609-884-5697. For the full menu, visit here.

West Cape May

Chez Michel bakery in West Cape May has a plethora of baked goods available to order for Thanksgiving, including pies, quick breads, dinner breads and quiche. View the menu here, on their Facebook page. Orders should be placed by email (info@michelgras.com) or in person at the bakery. Orders must have a phone number and have to be confirmed by the bakery. 

Homestyle To Go in West Cape May has a takeout Thanksgiving menu available with small (6-8 people) and large (10-14 people) options. There are also single dinner orders available in limited quantities. All orders must be placed by Sunday, November 21 at noon. Pick up is available Wednesday, November 24 after 4 pm or on Thursday, November 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. View the menu here.

Off Island

In North Cape May, Mike’s Bayshore Cafe has both individual and complete Thanksgiving meals. Check their Facebook page for info. Quantities are limited, order early!

Cold Spring Grange Restaurant is offering a full feast. Simply order, receive and heat. This is a fully cooked meal that comes with reheating instructions. Ordering is now open and will run through Sunday, 11/21. Pick-up can be scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 23rd or Wednesday, Nov. 24th. Please note, this year is the first that Aleathea’s Restaurant will not be open for Thanksgiving due to staffing shortages. They hope to return in 2022. The Merion Inn is closing for the season on November 15.
